The Water Skier Magazine

The Water Skier magazine is the official publication of USA Water Ski & Wake Sports, the national governing body of competitive water skiing and wakeboarding in the United States. The Water Skier is the nation's premier water skiing magazine. Published continuously since 1952, longer than any other publication of its kind, The Water Skier is the source to which water skiers turn for accurate information and knowledge about the sport. The Water Skier comes to your home four times a year with athlete profiles, instructional articles, tournament reports and results, trends in the sport and classified advertisements.

Your host, Tyler Boyd

Tyler Boyd started water skiing as a child 30 years ago. His exceptional speaking skills gave him the motivation to become an announcer for water skiing events over ten years ago. For the last three years, he was the commentator for the Masters of Water Skiing. Tyler has also spent time announcing football events for Houston Baptist University.

A licensed attorney, he brings exceptional speaking and negotiating skills to the table, along with a high level of focus, creativity, and value to every interaction. He stands out from the crowd by combining talent and passion in his professional pursuits. As a Houston attorney, he handles a wide range of legal issues in commercial, contract, business, and employment law.

Tyler is a four-time USA National Water Ski Champion and remains active in the sport where he continues to compete. In his free time, Tyler enjoys traveling with his wife and three children, researching, skiing, diving, biking, and working out.

With his own successful 20 year professional waterskiing career behind him, Kyle Eade has plenty of time to focus on his students – including his sons, Jaeden and Damien. Both members of the US U17 Water Ski Team that took numerous medals in the 2024 IWWF World Under 17 Waterski Championships, they now look forward to college and beyond.
